Newgen Sports Academy is a leading fitness organization located in Bhaisepati, Lalitpur, committed to providing high-quality martial arts and fitness training in Nepal. Our mission is to develop discipline, strength, and confidence through expert coaching. We offer a variety of programs including Taekwondo, Dance, Zumba, Futsal Training, and more.

Origin

Newgen Sports Academy was established in 2018 A.D. by Grand Master Cheol Hwan Shin (7th Dan) and Master Prabin Thapa (5th Dan), with a shared vision to reform and improve Taekwondo training and services in Nepal. Initially, Newgen was founded with the primary goal of providing the finest Taekwondo training in the country.

In 2021 A.D., Newgen expanded its services by introducing Zumba classes to promote fitness among people of all age groups. In 2022 A.D., the academy further diversified by launching Dance classes, encouraging creativity and self-expression.

Continuing its growth, in 2025 A.D., Newgen introduced Futsal training to explore and develop students’ athletic potential, promoting teamwork, skill development, and overall physical fitness.

Our Founders

Grandmaster Cheol Hwan Shin

7th Dan Kukkiwon Black Belt, senior instructor at Korean Special Forces

He has started his earlier career in taekwondo in Korea. He came to Nepal in 2016 A.D . while he was in Nepal he had done great things for development of sports, nation and community. In coordination with master prabin thapa he opened newgen taekwondo dojang . During that time he participated in national and international events representing newgen taekwondo dojang .while he was in Nepal he helped in the development of taekwondo profession and we are glad for the service provided by him He is 7th Dan Kukkiwon Black belt and senior instructor at Korean Special Forces

Master Prabin Thapa

5th Dan Kukkiwon Black Belt, Director of Newgen , Coach

Master Prabin Thapa was born on 28th May 1990 .He started his career in taekwondo from very young age. He started learning taekwondo from age twelve and started to instruct from age of sixteen. He has started teaching taekwondo from Talchikhel Taekwondo Dojang. In 2018 A.D he and Grand Master Cheol Hwan Shin started Newgen Taekwondo Dojang. He is now 5th Dan holder of Kukkiwon black belt.He is also international referee and coach. He has received international recognition in Thailand, India, China, and Cambodia. He is also football player. He is currently working as coach in Red Dragon Taekwondo and Cam Youth Club in Australia.
